Vesna has been involved in the legal profession since childhood, having followed her father’s work from the first day he opened his law firm in 1991. During her school years, she worked in her father’s law firm during the holidays to earn money for her bicycle. She also worked as a waitress to earn extra money without her father’s knowledge. When she turned 18, she moved out of home and her father’s scholarship helped her pay her expenses as she spent most of her time studying law at the University of Maribor. She wrote her dissertation during a three-month study visit to Amsterdam and was also awarded a prize for it by the Office of Communications. She also passed the state law exam with honours. Her first career step was the training for a trademark lawyer, during which she also passed the exam to become a member of supervisory boards. After her father’s retirement, she took over the management of the family law firm, where she assists clients in solving cases in various fields of law. Employee satisfaction is her top priority and she is respected as an outstanding leader and lawyer at the Gorjup Law Firm. She describes herself as a mother and family person. Only after that comes work, where client and staff satisfaction are most important to her.
